The ITIL 4 Strategic Leader (SL) designation recognises the value of ITIL across all digitally enabled services. Becoming an ITIL 4 Strategic Leader enables professionals to develop a clear understanding of how IT influences and shapes business strategy. It also ensures that organisations can create a more agile, resilient and continuously improving business culture.
ITIL 4 Strategic Leader designation consists of two modules:
- ITIL 4 Strategist: Direct, Plan and Improve (universal module)
- ITIL 4 Leader: Digital and IT Strategy
ITIL Strategic Leader recognises the value of ITIL, not just for IT operations, but for all digitally-enabled services. Becoming an ITIL 4 Strategic Leader demonstrates that you have a clear understanding of how IT influences and directs business strategy.
To become an ITIL 4 Strategic Leader, candidates must complete both modules in the designation. In addition, candidates must be able to demonstrate that they have a minimum of three year’s managerial experience to be eligible to take ITIL 4 Leader: Digital and IT Strategy.
After achieving the ITIL 4 Managing Professional designation, candidates would only need to complete the ITIL 4 Leader: Digital and IT Strategy module to achieve the ITIL 4 Strategic Leader designation.
